An excellent album of sweet modern soul duets -- produced by William Mickey Stevenson, and one of his best projects from the time. We know little about Damon & Denita -- save for the fact that Denita is Deniat James from Hodges, James, & Smith -- but they're kind of a mellower version of Ashford & Simpson, with the same sort of sophisticated groove. Al Johnson wrote two great cuts on the record -- "Being Alone" and "Where Were We" -- and other tracks include "Love Your Sexy Ways", "Special Kind Of Lovin", "Can You See Me Now", and "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight".
